From what I remember about Jerry is he learned how to play the piano by ear - self taught - never took a piano lesson in his life. This is how talented he was - he felt the music and played it "his way" - unbelievable man who has never been "replaced" in talent.

The stage was done up like a giant wurlitzer with a revolving stage. As Bo Diddley revolved out of sight, Col Joye (MC) said "Keep that applause going 'cause Here comes the Killer himself - Jerry Lee Lewis", and he appeared playing the Mickey Newbury song "Why You Been Gone So Long". He followed with High School Confidential, Whole Lotta Shakin and Great Balls Of Fire.

It was at the Odeon Hammersmith April 1983. I have the video tape. In 1989 he came to Melbourne (Aust) as part of a show called "Legends Of Rock N Roll", which included the Everley Brothers, Leslie Gore, Chuck Berry and others. Jerry Lee was the last act. He did 4 songs.
