MrJowee ::: Favorites 2008-01-18 01:39:37 Forgot to add something. Super-cooling methyl alcohol (not ethyl alcohol) is how they brand cattle now, rather than using a hot iron. They cool it by adding, that's right, dry ice. Oh, and if you do create a fog of ethyl alcohol, don't smoke around it. You'll blow your face off. __________________________________________________
MrJowee ::: Favorites 2008-01-18 01:21:26 Someone explain this to me. The alcohol is room temperature or a little cooler. The dry ice is less than -110F. when it hits -110, it changes into a gas. Alcohol evaporates at about 175F, and water at 212F. Since putting dry ice into a liquid will only cool it off, and not heat it up, how will the alcohol evaporate? It won't you're getting buzzed on CO2 by depriving your brain of oxygen. It's the same as huffing. __________________________________________________

HeatherC19 ::: Favorites 2008-01-01 21:48:14 It depends on your location. Here you can get it from school science supply places, sometimes butchers have it or shipping companies that supply things for shipping food. But your best bet is a chemistry supplier. __________________________________________________
HeatherC19 ::: Favorites 2008-01-01 21:47:04 humidifiers work to slowly diffuse their contents. The idea here is that it all happens quickly and is a concentrated effect. Alcohol works simply, inhaled or consumed- a small steady amount over a long period has less effect than a huge amount in a short time period. There are also many other factors, metabolism and bodyweight being two of the larger ones. __________________________________________________
